Summary:
The Prosper tenures are located in the same geologic terrane as the adjacent Prosperity deposit. Taseko Mines Limited announced (November 2, 2009) a reserves of 7.7 million ounces of gold and 3.6 billion pounds of copper at Prosperity, making it the largest gold/copper reserve base of any mining project in Canada. On January 14, 2010 Taseko Mines Limited received BC government approval to proceed with development of the Prosperity deposit.
On January 19, 2010, following a significant new gold discovery in the prior month, Amarc Resources Ltd. announced "More Significant Results For The Newton Gold Discovery, Stakes Substantial Land Position & Launches Aggressive 2010 Program". Amarc, in the past two months, has staked some 1,300 square kilometres of additional mineral claims over an underexplored and highly prospective gold-copper belt extending south from the Newton property - their claims abut one of the Prosper tenures on the east side of the Prosperity property.
Location and Access:
The Property is located in the Clinton Mining Division and is approximately 110 kilometres southwest of the City of Williams Lake, BC, Canada. The area is well served by regional infrastructure. Refer to location map and tenure (claim) map with this posting.
Description:
The Prosper property consists of ten mineral tenures (3865 hectares) strategically located immediately adjacent to tenures controlled by Taseko Mines Limited covering their very large Prosperity gold-copper porphyry deposit.
To the knowledge of the Vendors no material exploration has been done on the Prosper.
Geology:
History:
The Prosperity deposit was discovered by Phelps Dodge Corporation in 1963. In recent years Prosperity has been advanced through development drilling, feasibility and permitting by the Hunter Dickinson Group through Taseko Mines Ltd. The recent (December 2009) significant gold discovery by Amarc Resources Ltd. near Prosperity and Prosper has resulted in a claim staking rush in the area.
