Position Description:

Barrick is looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join the Process, Autoclave Maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and effectively performs preventive, installation, and troubleshooting of power distribution centers, switchgears, motors and controls, process controls and instrumentation

• Perform other duties as assigned

  Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years electrical, instrumentation and process mechanical experience or two (2) years trade school or equivalent training required

• Excellent safety record and ability to work with various programs required

• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical instrumentation circuits and mechanical equipment required

• Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and provide feedback required

• Some experience with programmable logic controls (PLC), troubleshooting and programming, as well as experience with variable frequency drives, pumps and conveyors required

• Fabrication and welding skills including certification preferred

• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required

• Capable and willing to work with maintenance and operation teams required

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.
