Position Description:

Barrick is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Electrical General Supervisor, the Electrical Engineer, is responsible for the following:

The successful candidate will design, implement, maintain, and improve power distribution, electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems. Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, and codes. Generate and/or maintain company documentation including schematics, manuals, and approve all design work in conjunction with technical services. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Project, and others required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Proven safety record and strong dedication to courageous leadership required
• Willingness to work in a team-based maintenance organization required
• Familiarity with Electrical/Instrumentation modeling software and programs-AutoCAD, Vulcan, RS Logix, Wonderware, ControlLogix5000, GE Enter Vista, SKM, ETAP etc. preferred
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE preferred
• Two (2) years of practical engineering/maintenance experience in mining for similar application preferred

The Turquoise Ridge property is located in the Potosi Mining District, about 43 miles northeast of Winnemucca, Nevada. Barrick is the operator and 75% owner of the mine with Newmont owning the remaining 25%.
