Lead Total Rewards and Benefits
Location – Elko or Henderson, Nevada
Purpose
The Total Rewards Lead provides oversight of the HR Services Total Rewards Delivery Team including non-executive compensation, job evaluation and benchmarking, and benefits programs in North America. The Lead collaborates with the Total Rewards & Global Mobility COE to ensure that the execution and delivery of all compensation and benefit programs are carried out, and collaborates with Business HR for compensation budget reviews, and annual compensation cycles. This role is also responsible for the operational performance of their team and manages escalated issues / inquiries.
Responsibilities:
Delivery and Compliance
Work with Business and HR leaders to ensure that Total Rewards processes address business needs (e.g., job evaluation process is reflective of business needs and captures market trends, targeted initiatives to improve wellness are relevant to Barrick’s employee population) and that end-to-end processes are delivered in line with service level agreements (SLA)
Ensure the consistent execution of North American programs, policies and procedures related to Compensation and Benefits such as evaluating jobs, conducting salary benchmarking, setting up compensation cycles, promoting and implementing wellness programs etc.
Accountable for managing and delivering all Total Rewards processes in North America with continuous feedback and support from the Total Rewards & Global Mobility COE
Act as an escalation point for high-level risks and issues from direct reports, and provide subject matter expertise, advice and guidance for cases / inquiries that require deep compensation and benefits expertise

• Provide coaching and guidance to Total Rewards team
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or Arts in business, human resources management, finance or equivalent required
CCP or CEB certification or equivalent preferred
7-10 years human resources experience required
Specialization in human resource services preferred
Mining industry preferred
Understanding of HR policies and programs
Strong knowledge of compensation programs, compensation program compliance and reporting requirements
Negotiation and vendor relationship management acumen
Industry awareness on total rewards trends and best practices
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive material
Excellent project management skills, including planning and organizational skills
Proven people leadership skills and teamwork capabilities
Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple initiatives

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.
