Supervisor: Senior Long Range Engineer

Position Description:

Barrick is looking for a Long-Range Engineer to join the Open Pit Engineering team. The Long-Range Engineer will supervise the development and implement practical mine plans which allow for orderly development and exploitation of economically minable ore reserves. The Long-Range Engineer will oversee the coordination for the development of holistic long-range mine plans including forecast, budget and production. 

Responsibilities:

• Support Resource and Reserves preparation and assist in development of the Life-of-Mine plan

• Responsible for pit evaluations, optimizations, and designs

• Provide support to Engineering, Process, Mine Geology, and Exploration in development of plans

• Manage the integration of Growth projects into the Life-of-Mine process

• Preparation of resource models for use in mine planning

• Financial and cost modeling to support business functions

• Analytical support to Engineering department and wider business as needed
