Description:

Reporting directly to the Senior Reliability Engineer, and working closely with Maintenance & Operations Leaders, as the Reliability Engineer you will help support and develop the maintenance strategies for the Mine Mobile Equipment fleets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop equipment strategies, maintenance procedures and spare parts strategies for auxiliary and support equipment assets within the mine
  • Develop expertise in reliability engineering techniques (Reliability Centered Maintenance, Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and apply as appropriate
  • Create and/or support standards and procedures for the various departments within the mine while interacting with vendors to ensure build schedules, targets and budgets are met
  • Support development of maintenance/reliability initiatives such as remote health monitoring, ground engaging tool tracking programs, oil monitoring program development, services strategy, truck fleet tire management and structural inspection programs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • P. Eng designation or eligible for registration with APEGA
  • Two to five years relevant experience
  • Experience with mobile mining equipment and/or mechanical systems considered an asset

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as work alone to complete tasks on time
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Travel to Fort Hills site is required (frequency will increase during construction and commission & start up phases)
