Position Description:

Barrick is looking for a Security Technician to join the Security team.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and operating access control equipment
Monitoring CCTV systems
Maintaining and completing all related records, report writing.
Candidate will monitor all fire alarm, lightning and security alarm systems and operate other required computer systems.
Manage visitor, contractor and employee access, providing initial mine site orientation.
Dispatch emergency ERT, MRT and security response.
Responsible for building site inspection, housekeeping, and roving guard checks.
Provide assistance response and emergency response.
Ensure compliance with the GSS, fuel standard, explosives standard and other Barrick required and mine site access control, safety and security minimum standards.
Maintain confidentiality of information and systems
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

One to three years of experience in security preferred
Mining experience preferred
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) required
Proven safe work record required
Valid Nevada driver’s license required
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required
Able to pass Barrick Gold Compliance standard background check required
