Position Description:
Barrick Nevada is looking for an Underground Contractor Supervisor to join the Cortez Underground Operations team. The Supervisor will coordinate, coach and lead development contractor teams engaged in mining to ensure the development targets and schedules are met to ensure profitability and business development in accordance with the contract, and strategic business plan.
Responsibilities:
Work with Technical Services and Project personnel in determining the overall strategy for the mine
Support development objectives by minimizing risk and maximizing value with focus on values, cost reduction and risk management.
Ensure that all activities at the site operate within safety, security and environmental policies and regulations, to protect the assets and employees of the company and the contractors

Continuous Improvement
Operator Care and Custody
Strategic Management
Management Team Interaction

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.
