Position Description:

Barrick is looking for an Underground Electrician to join the Underground Electrical team.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and perform all electrical repairs as required on underground and surface equipment, as well as stationary equipment and new electrical installations as required

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

• Two (2) years underground electrical experience preferred

• High voltage experience preferred

• Formal electrical training and troubleshooting background preferred

• Ability to read complex prints and a good understanding of electrical codes preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proven track record of being a team player required

• Exemplary safety performance and attendance record required

• Ability to accomplish physical labor under all weather conditions required

• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.
