Acacia gets almost $200bn adjusted Tanzanian tax assessments

The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has issued two Acacia Mining subsidiaries with adjusted tax assessments totalling nearly $200-billion in alleged unpaid taxes, penalties and interest owed.
This is the latest blow to the operator whose first-half performance this year has been severely impacted by the government’s blunt export ban on concentrate exports from the Bulyanhulu and Buzwagi mines.
