Appointments of Dr. Graham Norval to the Board and Olga Balanovskaya as Interim Chief Financial Officer

TORONTO, ON–(Marketwired – March 22, 2016) –  Organic Potash Corporation (CSE: OPC) (“OPC” or the “Corporation”) wishes to announce the appointment of Graeme W. Norval Ph.D., F.C.I.C., P.Eng. to the Corporation’s Board of Directors. Dr. Norval is the Associate Professor, Associate Chair and Undergraduate Coordinator, at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, University of Toronto. Dr. Norval is an appointed member of the Ontario Ministry of Labour’s, Prevention Council, the Education Director of the Process Safety and Loss Management Division of CSCHE; and the Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Catalysis Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting catalysis research in Canada. Dr. Norval brings extensive experience and expertise to the Board in the area of inorganic process chemistry and engineering that will prove invaluable to the Board in assisting with Organic Potash Corporation’s licensed technology for the production of potassium carbonate and related chemicals.

The Board wishes to announce that it appointed Olga Balanovskaya, C.P.A., C.G.A. as Interim CFO. Ms. Balanovskaya has over 15 years of private and public company experience in the capacity of senior controller. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario; has a Diploma in International Accounting Standards from the Institute of Financial Accountants, UK and a membership in the Institute of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Russia.
