(IDEX Online News) – Dominion Diamond Corporation recently confirmed that an incident had occurred at its Ekati mine site, after a fire broke out during a planned outage in the Process Plant.
The Incident Management Team was activated to respond to the situation and the Emergency Response Team was called to the scene – where the fire was contained. All personnel were evacuated from the plant and were accounted for – with no reported injuries.
Dominion said that it would provide an update when further information became available.
