Lundin Gold’s Fruta del Norte gold project has become a symbol of Ecuador’s desire and confidence to further develop its nascent mining sector.
“We’re very happy with Lundin; they’re a world-class mining company and we’ve been working closely with them,” Mining minister Javier Cordova told Mining Weekly Online on the sidelines of the recent Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada conference.
