Following an independent executive search procedure, the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) has appointed Dr Paul Fisher the new chairperson of the association, effective September 5. Due to retire from the Bank of England at month end, Fisher would take the reins from LBMA’s current chairperson, Asahi Refining president Grant Angwin, who was stepping down after two-and-a-half years of service.
