TSX-listed Lithium Americas, formerly Western Lithium, has struck a nonexclusive memorandum of understanding (MOU) to form a strategic alliance with Spain-based organoclay specialist TOLSA in order to pursue growth opportunities in the global clay minerals markets.
Under the MoU, which expounded a number of areas of collaboration, Lithium Americas subsidiary Hectatone would supply over the long term hectorite clay from its Nevada resource to TOLSA to manufacture high-purity hectorite-based products.
