Lithium explorer and project developer Lithium X Energy has appointed former Rockwood Lithium Latin America president and CEO Eduardo Morales as its COO effective immediately.
Morales brought 36 years of experience a s a chemical engineer to the junior company and was critical in building and operating one of the world’s largest lithium brine operations. As Rockwood Lithium president, he led the development, commissioning and operation of Rockwood’s Salar de Atacama project, in Chile. His tenure with Rockwood Lithium ended with the company’s sale to Albemarle for $6.2-billion in 2014.
