McCarl’s Inc. Hires New Executive Vice President to Lead New Phase of Growth

BEAVER FALLS, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–McCarl’s Inc., a $150 million industrial contractor serving oil and gas, power generation, chemical and manufacturing industries, today announced that it has hired Jeffrey Hines as executive vice president.

Hines will lead McCarl’s as it continues expanding all of its services, including industrial construction, maintenance and fabrication.

Hines has more than 30 years of experience in construction and construction management. Prior to joining McCarl’s, Hines served as general manager of strategy and business development at Babcock & Wilcox Construction Company. Throughout his long career at Babcock & Wilcox, he worked as construction operations manager, project manager and senior estimator. Hines earned an M.B.A. at Malone University and holds both a B.S. and an associate degree in engineering from Geneva College.

McCarl’s Inc. has also promoted two company veterans to new leadership positions. Dan Rains will serve as vice president of business development and Chad Ferenczy is vice president of finance.

Previously the director of business development, Rains has worked to build McCarl’s industrial construction business for more than 25 years. He is well-known in the industry with a proven record for building long-term business relationships. Prior to his career in industrial construction, Rains was a linebacker for the Chicago Bears from 1981 – 1987, which included a 1985 Superbowl win. He is a recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award, the Ray Mansfield Humanitarian Award and the Arc of Butler County Community Service Award. An alumnus of the University of Cincinnati, he was inducted into the University of Cincinnati Hall of Fame, University of Cincinnati Team MVP and the American Football Association Semipro Hall of Fame, among others. He resides in Aliquippa, PA.

Chad Ferenczy joined McCarl’s in 2010 as assistant controller and was promoted to controller in 2012. Previously, Ferenczy worked in accounting and finance positions for Wheelabrator Technologies/Waste Management, Baker Newman Noyes, LLC, and Akridge and Aronson, LLC. Ferenczy earned a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College and became a certified public accountant in 2005. He resides in Wexford, PA.
