NavPort Reveals Deeper Oil & Gas Analytics by Coupling 2015 Texas Drilled but Uncompleted (DUC) Well Analyses and Completion Numbers

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–NavPort today revealed more thorough analytics and trends available through their new, Texas drilled but uncompleted (DUC) well data and completion information.

“With the addition of 2015 Texas DUC data, we are able to look at who is drilling an inventory of wells but waiting to complete until a potential rebound in the market,” said Amie Parenti, NavPort director of analysis services. “Since our completion information is the most granular in the industry, our clients can use this information together with historic completion methods, to make predictions around what these completions will look like when the wells are eventually frac’d.”

With the new DUC information, Parenti explains other factors NavPort customers can now trend in 2016 including how much water, chemicals, and proppant will be pumped, what service provider is most likely to service a well, and the expected production curves based off geographically “like” wells.

“The system is really flexible,” said Parenti. “Whether users want a map, a chart, a graph, or just the raw data, they can do it in NavPort Analytics™. Plus, our additional filtering and well-level information ensures there aren’t any holes in what they are trying to analyze.”
