Queensland Natural Resources and Mines Minister Dr Anthony Lynham plans to release 826 km2 of land for minerals, coal, petroleum and natural gas exploration over the next 12 months. The seven areas range from Cloncurry in the north-west, though the Bowen basin in central Queensland, to near Surat in the south-west.
