History

Suncrystal Mining background:
My name is Nirinjan Khalsa. I have designed and created fine jewelry and mined gold, precious and semi-precious gemstones most of my adult life. About 12 years ago I was invited up to the sunstone mining area to dig a relatively new gemstone that I had just recently heard about, Oregon Sunstone.
After acquiring several great specimens and setting them in jewelry, and having my clients go wild over them, I was smitten by this rarely seen gem and decided to dive into purchasing and mining quantities of Oregon Sunstone.
I purchased and filed a total of 14 mining claims and continued to purchase significant quantities of high quality rough from other miners.
I occasionally mined small amounts of sunstones from the claims I purchased but never went into large production. The logistics of living in Los Angeles and mining in Oregon kept me from significant mining and production thus resulting in the claims I am offering being largely untouched and unexploited.
The four claims on Sagebrush Knoll are adjacent to the Snakebite claims originally filed by the Cohens and then purchased by Dust Devil mining and are in an area where large quantities of fine red and schiller Sunstone are known to exist.
In the Rabbit Basin area, I currently have seven claims all in proven areas that produce large quantities of Schiller and good red and bicolor stones. Five of those were originally filed by George Marshall and the owned by Robert Glenn and then purchased by myself. The other two, Scorpion #1 and Suncrystal #8, I purchased from other individuals and have been proven by their previous owners.
All of these claims have been only lightly mined and still contain large quantities of sunstones of varied qualities and colors.
