The 3 gold leases are in a very safe part of Colombia. No gorilla to worry about, none are in this area. I am Canadian and had no problems at all living or working in this area. The 2 gold leases cover large valleys beside the rivers. In the one valley about 20 years ago the hills above the valley were mostly mined with a lot of gold gotten. The valley has been completely untouched. I started a very small mining operation in the one valley. I used 2 excavators and Colombian build wash plant. We started mining the valley but were having big problems fighting the amount of water that was coming into the pit. We were using a 8" pump and were forced to keep it running 24h to keep the water down. We were getting gold but we couldn't get down to bedrock. Running the top of the mine we were getting over an ounce a day. We were just fighting too much water. I wish i would have had a larger pump so we could have gotten down to the great gold. After a couple of weeks fighting water and money running low we decided to move up into the hills above. In this area there is 2 "bedrocks" The top layer what contains gold then the second layer what contains a lot more gold. Were the top mine had been mined years ago. We dug through the first layer of "bedrock" about 1m thick (kind of a clay type material). And found a mine that was 6m thick. We starting mining and were getting between 90-165g per day. (running about 150 cubic yards per hour) The best day we had was the last day we mined for 3 hours we got 128g. We decided to stop because the overburden has too much at that point. 1 lease covers completely virgin jungle. The only testing that has been done on this was one test hole at the edge of the claim. The mine is under 2-3m of overburden and approximately 6-9m thick of mine. The major problems we had were the very badly made wash plant that was broken down more then it was running. Inexperience was a major problem, my partner had mining experience in lime stone mines but never mining gold. I am a land developer but have no mining experience. Also not having enough time. I borrowed the money from my family to start this mining operation and it took too long to set up my company and get my equipment imported into Colombia. I am looking for a joint venture if possible as I know there are very large deposits of gold in those valleys.
