2S Water manufactures AquaValid, a real-time multimetal water analyzer using solution cathode glow discharge (SCGD) technology deployed on industrial process lines. The instrument monitors up to 5 metals concurrently from a panel of 27 available analytes, delivering results approximately one minute after sampling on a continuous ~10-minute cycle, with 0.39% average deviation across 671 continuous brine-trial readings. The analyzer operates with a single reagent (plasma conditioner), onboard self-calibration, and self-cleaning automated flushing cycles. It is designed for high-TDS, harsh-chemistry industrial streams including mine water, produced water, and effluent flows where the 24-72 hour lag of grab sampling and external labs creates compliance and process risk.

AquaValid is validated against ICP laboratory analysis and operates as a continuous monitoring layer between accredited lab samples that build compliance records. The instrument streams data via API to SCADA dashboards, historians, and control systems. Applications include effluent and tailings compliance monitoring, recovery optimization on live metals data, machinery protection through scale and corrosion trending, environmental monitoring, process reagent dosing optimization (capable of saving around 30% on chemical costs), and providing continuous water-chemistry datafeeds to AI and predictive operations platforms. Field deployments include operation at approximately 3,100 m altitude and detection of seasonal zinc exceedance at an active mine site.
