Faraday Geophysics is a global exploration company providing geophysical services for the mining, geothermal, oil and gas and geotechnical industries. The company redefines seismic acquisition by delivering sustainable, affordable, and high-resolution subsurface imaging powered by electric vibroseis technology. Faraday Geophysics is a merger between family-owned companies Ultramag Geophysics, which started in 1988 and introduced innovative geophysical methods worldwide, and Seismic Mechatronics, which started in 2015 and developed the eVibe technology, the Electric Seismic Source.

Operations are certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. The company combines expertise in geophysics, engineering, and field operations to deliver reliable acquisition solutions worldwide. Faraday operates internationally and collaborates with partners across Europe, North America, Africa, India, and Australia. The goal is to make high-quality subsurface imaging accessible while significantly reducing the environmental impact of seismic surveys. By using electric vibroseis technology, seismic sources operate with significantly lower noise levels, reduced emissions, and a much smaller operational footprint compared to traditional systems. This allows seismic surveys to be performed more efficiently and in environments where conventional methods may be difficult or undesirable, including urban areas, environmentally sensitive regions, and projects requiring high-resolution imaging.

The eVibe technology platform forms the backbone of seismic acquisition capabilities. These electric seismic sources are designed to deliver precise and repeatable energy into the ground while maintaining a lightweight and flexible operational footprint. The eVibe family includes several systems designed for different survey objectives, ranging from high-resolution shallow imaging to deeper exploration targets. Faraday complements its seismic offering with a suite of non-invasive techniques: drone magnetometry, ground-penetrating radar and Lidar. With over 30,000 km of DroneMag survey completed, the company’s DroneMag teams deliver very high-resolution magnetic data of comparable resolution to groundmag but up to ten times faster acquisition and at less than half the cost. DroneMag crew can deliver up to 130 km per day. For ground-penetrating radar, the system can image up to a maximum of 100 m depth in ideal conditions and has 512 channels for each shot with shots taken every 1 to 4 seconds depending on depth. The GPR system is capacitively coupled with no electric contact with the ground, uses in-house developed software and can deliver 1 cm Lidar accuracy class. Lidar services offer high-resolution drone LiDAR data acquisition for rapid topographic mapping across large and inaccessible areas using a 350 RTK platform that combines laser scanning, GNSS positioning and inertial measurement technology.
