SANY Southern Africa is a branch company of SANY, a global leader in the supply of heavy equipment, driven by the belief that Quality Changes the World. The company has more than 3,000 units of equipment operating in the Southern Africa region, serving clients in South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and more.

SANY Southern Africa operates manufacturing and assembly facilities in South Africa. In November 2025, the company officially opened its new 28,000 m² headquarters and industrial park in Johannesburg, a R500-million investment that combines manufacturing, logistics, training, and aftersales under one roof, with capacity to produce over 1,000 excavators annually for the African market. This marked the first facility in South Africa established by an international yellow-metal OEM. Future phases will expand assembly to electric mining trucks and component repair.

The company maintains a 20,000 m² warehouse facility in Olifantsfontein, Midrand with 12,000 m² under roof. The warehouse increased spare parts stockholding from approximately R170 million to R270 million, with spare parts availability exceeding 90% and picking rate at 100%. The company operates a 20,000 m² pre-delivery inspection centre in Benoni, Johannesburg to expedite machine handovers and identify potential issues before products reach clients.

SANY Southern Africa experienced 40% year-on-year growth over a three-year period and has opened branches in Middelburg, Rustenburg and Richards Bay in South Africa, with additional operations in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique and Namibia. The company is expanding into central Africa through to north Africa. The warehouse incorporates environmentally friendly and sustainable features including the use of lithium-ion batteries in material handling equipment.

The company provides customer service through the MySANY App platform, offering service and repairs, machine service for breakdowns and warranty claims, spare parts ordering and enquiries, remote assistance for self-service jobs and machine maintenance, and a voice of customer system for logging queries, concerns, complaints and recommendations. A dedicated team ensures emergency or urgent orders are met 24/7.
