Sinosteel Zhengzhou Metal Products Research Institute was founded in 1973 and became a technology-oriented enterprise in 1999. Following company system reform in 2008, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinosteel Group. In 2017 it entered the listed company through asset reorganization and in 2021 completed mixed ownership reform and share system reform to become a limited liability company. Sinosteel NMC Tongli Magnetic Material Factory specializes in permanent magnet ferrite material research and production with advanced domestic permanent magnet production lines featuring high automation and advanced production technology. Current annual production capacity is 20,000 tons of permanent magnet ferrite steel magnets with broad application in automotive motors, household appliances and various permanent magnet direct current motors. With support from Sinosteel NMC’s Magnetic Materials and Application Technology National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center, the factory can research and produce products with magnetic performance equivalent to Japanese TDK level FB5, FB6, FB9, FB12 and FB13 series products and can develop irregular-shaped special products with high remanence, high coercivity and dual-high characteristics according to customer requirements.

Hunan Special Metal Materials Co Ltd (formerly Hunan Special Metal Materials Factory) was established in 1992 and initiated by the Metallurgy Ministry Mining Bureau. In 2002 it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Metallurgical Mining Total Company and was transferred to Sinosteel Group in 2008. In 2017 it entered the listed company through asset reorganization. The company focuses on manganese series product research, deep processing and business operations as an external-oriented high-tech enterprise. In February 2016 it passed NSF ISR audit certification of ISO/TS 16949:2009 quality management system certification. Sinosteel NMC Anhui Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd derives from the original Metallurgy Ministry Ma’anshan Mine Research Institute Equipment Research Institute and has engaged in mine equipment research and development and manufacturing for over 50 years. The equipment company’s main products are high-pressure roller mills and other crushing and grinding equipment with products primarily applied in major domestic metallurgical mines and cement building materials industries.
