First Tin was established in 2012 as Treliver Minerals Limited with initial exploration activities at Treliver Farm in Cornwall, UK. In 2013 it expanded into mainland Europe with the acquisition of Saxore Bergbau GmbH in Germany. Following a corporate restructure, Saxore became a direct holding and UK operations transitioned into a corporate head office. Through Saxore, First Tin holds a long-term mining licence valid until 2070 for the Rittersgrün field in Saxony, which contains the Tellehäuser Tin Project, and two exploration licenses for Auersberg and Gottesberg contiguous with the Rittersgrün Mining License.

As part of its 2022 IPO, First Tin acquired Taronga Mines Pty Ltd, securing the Taronga Tin Project in northern New South Wales, Australia, located near Emmaville in the historic tin mining region. The company has expanded operations in the region from one mining lease and four exploration licences to a total exploration tenure of around 752 km² across the Emmaville district.

First Tin is focused on delivering responsibly sourced tin from conflict-free, low-risk jurisdictions through rapid development of high-value, low-capex projects in Australia and Germany. The leadership team brings more than 150 years of combined experience across tin exploration, development, mining, processing and commercialisation. The company applies stringent environmental controls and procedures throughout all stages of development and complies with all applicable legislation, regulation and rules to minimise and mitigate impact on land, water, air quality, climate and local biodiversity.

Interest in the Taronga site dates back over a century including extensive drilling, tunnelling and shallow alluvial mining. Significant exploration was undertaken by BHP in 1933, 1958 and 1964, followed by the Newmont Joint Venture from 1979 to 1982. From 2012 to 2018, AusNiCo Ltd and Aus Tin completed Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve estimates, completed a PFS, were granted a mining lease over most of the deposit and were given developmental approval for trial mining and processing. Since acquisition in 2022, First Tin undertook further exploration and drilling leading to publication of a significantly enhanced JORC 2012 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate. A definitive feasibility study has been completed and published. Ongoing mineral processing test work is yielding excellent results with increased tin recoveries anticipated through the processing plant.

Tellerhäuser is located in Saxony’s historic tin district and is one of the most advanced undeveloped tin projects in the world. The project consists of the Hämmerlein, Dreiberg and Zweibach resources. The site includes a former GDR mine with ongoing development backed by strong technical fundamentals, a polymetallic resource offering by-product credits, and proximity to existing infrastructure offering a cost-effective route to production.

Gottesberg sits on the western edge of the Eibenstock intrusive complex approximately 25km west of Tellehäuser and has a JORC 2012 Resource Estimate of 37.0Mt at 0.25% tin for 90,900 tonnes of contained tin. Auersberg adjoins Tellehäuser and Gottesberg licences, covers 175.7 km² and hosts the largest tin-in-sediment anomaly in Saxony.

First Tin is a qualified candidate for European Raw Material Alliance (ERMA) funding and support. ERMA identified tin from conflict-free sources as a critical raw material to support EU intention of becoming climate-neutral by 2050. Among projects' combined 368,000t contained tin, claimed as world's 2nd largest undeveloped tin resources outside China. Taronga project assessment and approval process described as well advanced with EIS Exhibition phase completed as of December 2025.
