Livingstone Creek is located 100 km NNE of Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. It is accessible by air year round and hosts a large 4000 foot serviceable airstrip that can accommodate aircraft as large as a DC4. Winter access for heavy equipment (Jan – Apr weather dependent) by way of
100-km winter trail road and ice bridge crossings.
Access vehicles: aircraft such as Otter, Beaver, Cessna 206/207, Islander,
Skyvan, helicopters, off-road 4x4 trucks, all-terrain vehicles, and snow
machines. There is an existing road from airstrip to claims and existing roads and trails on claims.

Whitehorse Mining District

Livingstone Creek drains east to west out of the Pelly Mountains and is a
tributary of the South Big Salmon River. Several high-grade surface quartz vein structures exist, including one that measures 14 meters wide and averages 4.5 grams of gold per ton highlighted by 2- and 3-meter wide veins running between 10 and 13 grams of gold per ton.

The remains of the historic Livingstone Village are located at the downstream end of the placer claims. The area is known to produce big gold nuggets over its 100-plus-year history. The area was so substantial that it created a 200-plus person village, which warranted a NorthWest Mounted Police station, a mining recorder’s office, a post office, several roadhouses, and a red-light district. From 1906 to 1918, the Seattle Livingstone Mining Company did a large-scale underground placer operation where some of the drifts were 1000 feet long just to reach the pay channel. Reports say that the grade of the gravel ran one-third to two-thirds of an ounce of gold per yard. Livingstone Creek has been mined on and off since the late 1800s. One family has been working the claims since the 1960s. The current owner has had Livingstone for over 50 years.
