The Barbara Lake Claim block # 42580100 is located in the Hemlo area, Ontario approximately 330 km east of Thunder Bay.

The property consists of 16 claims covering an area of approximately 256 ha located on the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources claim sheet no. G-620, in the Thunder Bay Mining Division, Ontario

Very Low Frequency Electromagnetic Survey The VLP-EM survey detected a number of poor to moderate anomalies which define the conductors indicated on Map 1. The lengths of the conductors vary from short ie., single line features, to up to 3600' long. Only those features which exhibit an appreciable strike length are cited individually, however the short features may take on renewed importance as evaluation of the property proceeds. Conductor A occurs along the west side of the property between lines 60+OOW and 20+OOW. It is the longest conductor on the property at 3600 ft. long. The best part of the conductor occurs on the three western lines of the grid where amplitudes of up to 128 * were recorded. The anomaly is also broad ie., 500 ft. between peak positive and negative responses, in this region which indicates a deep or a wide source. This anomaly is the only 'important' feature detected by the magnetic survey. Anomally shape suggests that it is caused by a shallow, thin source, possibly a magnetite or sulphide iron formation or thin mafic volcanic unit. It may be significant because work by Tech Corporation (Quartermain et al 1983) identified both a magnetite iron formation and mafic volcanic unit in the footwall of the Hemlo Gold Deposit. Conductor B consists of two parallel conductors which extend between lines 28+OOW and 4+OOW. The feature may continue to the west but limits to the survey coverage at the boundary of the property and electrical interference caused by railway and power line on line 0+00 prevented complete definition. Anomalies in the middle of the conductor on lines 16+OOW to 8-fOOW are relatively broad and occur in the vicinity of Barbara Lake and may therefore be caused by overburden. Elsewhere the feature is relatively weak.
