Access of the Horsethief Property is by unsurfaced roads from Pioche. In fair weather, all-wheel drive vehicle is not required. Highway 93 passes within 19 km of the property on the southwest side. All basic services are available in Pioche including an adequate supply of experienced labor for mining operations, with additional services and a general aviation use airstrip available in Ely, Nevada, 146 km to the northwest. Broad flat valleys west of the project area are suitable locations for mill sites, leach pads, rock dumps, and other mine related infrastructure.

Deposits located near the Horsethief project include the Atlanta Mine (1 million tons at 0.08 to 0.1 ounces gold/ton), located 48 km to the north of the property. Historical adits and exploration workings can be found on the Horsethief property. Bridgeport acquired Horsethief from Fronteer as one of a series of highly prospective properties all displaying similar features adding to a well-rounded portfolio;

• Typically shallow drillholes (<200 m)

• Typically not a significant amount of holes drilled by previous operators
• Little to no modern 3D compilation and interpretation work done in the past often leaving exploration targeting open in both strike and depth directions

Mapping and sampling of the Horsethief property has identified a large area of variably gold mineralized jasperoid (hydrothermal alteration stratigraphically controlled silica replacement);

• The largest jasperoid body crops out over an area of roughly 900 x 150 meters and a smaller area of jasperoid crops out southeast of the main body
• Several small prospect cuts and shafts in the area of jasperoid outcrops are the only known mine or exploration workings at the project

A joint venture between Canyon Resources and Copper Range explored the property in the period 1981 to 1984. Rock chip assay data generated by the joint venture reportedly defined gold anomalies in jasperoid, which was subsequently the focus of exploration drilling;

• Such significant mineralized intercepts identified by Canyon Resources includes 13.7m @ 1.2 gpt Au and 39.6m @ 0.79 gpt Au
• Canyon Resources drilled shallow holes and therefore there may be potential for deeper exploration

Horsethief has distinguishable characteristics typical of Carlin type deposits;

• Potential for biproducts of antimony and barite as seen through hand sample assays
• Limestone and dolostone host rock presentcollected
• Intersecting faults present often favourable for gold deposition

The bedrock geology of the Horsethief project is centered upon a gently northeast dipping, northwest trending horst of dolostone and limestone strata. The carbonates are exposed in the overlying Tertiary volcanic strata and are interpreted as Upper Cambrian strata of the Dunderbery Shale. The surrounding volcanic rocks comprise of ash flow tuffs, air fall tuffs, flow breccias, lahars, and waterlian tuffs. A zone of silicified carbonate (Jasperoid) trends east-west. The development of Jasperoid is interpreted as being controlled by an east-west high angled structure. North- northwest trending shear zones are also present which cut the carbonates.
