In 1978, approximately 30,000 tons mined with 5,000 tons shipped to the Lacawanna mill in Ely that produced approx. 3 million from the milled ore. The remaining ore is stockpiled. Early mining began in the late 1800's with many old workings on the property, including a rock Cornish headframe and timbered shaft.
