Swiss-based iron-ore producer Ferrexpo reported total first quarter pellet production of 2.62-million tonnes, down from the 2.88-million tonnes produced in the first quarter of 2016. The company, which has operations in the Ukraine, explained that the lower production reflected scheduled pellet line maintenance in January and February, as well as a 55-day pellet line refurbishment, which started on March 20.
