A South African government task team has rescinded the reinstatement of Brian Molefe as chief executive of state power utility Eskom and a new CEO will be appointed within 48 hours, Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown said on Wednesday. Molefe resigned in November last year after a report by the Public Protector, a constitutionally mandated corruption watchdog, raised questions over Eskom coal deals.
