Mining operations will stop at the Andy Well mine on November 1, miner Doray Minerals reported on Thursday, as the project will become unprofitable.
Doray told shareholders that while the company had undertaken a number of studies to assess the potential of combining the Andy Well underground mine and the Gnaweeda project, in Western Australia, into a single operation in order to optimise cashflow and profitability, the studies revealed a reduction in the strike length at the Andy Well underground ore bodies.
