China’s mining industry will shrink if the government does not cut it some slack in return for compliance with strict environmental policies, the head of one of the country’s largest gold miners said on Saturday.
“We don’t have friendly policies in this industry,” Chen Jinghe, chairperson of Zijin Mining Group, said during a session at the China Mining conference in Tianjin.
