Responsibilities:

• Providing system design calculations and preparation of review and drawings
• Working closely with clients and architects to achieve their architectural aspirations and business requirements
• Co-ordinating work with engineers of other disciplines
• Producing fire safety strategies for buildings and other structures
• Presenting fire safety solutions to the approving authorities
• Supporting senior management in business and technical development
• Project and team administration duties
• Producing project related correspondence and reports

Requirements: Qualification and Skill Minimum

• No less than 5 years relevant working experience in Building Services
• Engineering degree / diploma required – Professional membership or working towards professional membership advantageous
• ASIB Certificate OR experience preferable
• Able to demonstrate strong design ability and engineering skills and knowledge
• Ability to design according to SANS 10400:T (compliance) OR have a basic understanding of rational design
• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines – essential
• Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communications and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
