Join a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm as a senior structural engineer responsible for the design and implementation of structural projects and the structural elements of multi-disciplinary projects (with the emphasis on civil engineering structures) including managing a team of Engineers and Technicians on a project by project basis.

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate and manage structural projects internally
• Preliminary and detailed structural analysis and design
• Construction supervision and site monitoring
• Ensure conformance of proposal to client requirements
• Involvement in all financial aspects of the project
• Adherence to Quality Management System and closeout of CAR’s
• Service excellence and client satisfaction
• Responsible for the design and construction monitoring in structural projects
• Project management of structural projects
• Assist in the preparation of tenders and proposals for structural projects
• Preliminary design, detailed design and design reviews
• On-going development of engineering staff

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• BSc Engineering, PREng
• 10 – 15 years minimum relevant structural experience
• Extensive experience working on commercial buildings on management level required
• Ability to motivate individuals to work collaboratively as a team
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent people management skills to compliment experience managing staff at all levels
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
