Join a dynamic international engineering consultancy providing engineering design, project management, supervision and technical assistance for development of infrastructures and civil works.

This organization requires a resident engineer with significant experience in the field of supervision and design of roads in developing countries, particularly in the Sub-Saharan countries.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and design of roads
• Responsible for compiling documents and drawings that will be used as tender documents
• Supervise the upgrading / rehabilitation of roads and bridges in general in African countries
• Train junior professional staff

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Civil Engineering degree
• Professionally registered preferred
• No less than 15 years’ experience in design and construction of bituminous roads
• More than 5 years’ experience in the role of resident engineer on road construction projects preferably in sub-tropical countries
• Extensive experience in project management – PMI certified or similar preferred
• Specialized knowledge and experience regarding techniques used in paved road construction and quality control
• Fluency in English essential, Portuguese fluency advantageous
