Lake Shore Gold Corporation is seeking a Mine Technologist to support the Engineering department at our Timmins Mine site in the Timmins area. General duties will include assisting the planning, ventilation and surveying personnel in their day-to-day activities. The incumbent will also be trained to become responsible for providing and maintaining survey control for underground and surface operations, which includes line/grade and driving layouts, raise surveying, CMS surveying and volumetric calculations, diamond drill hole mark-up and pick-up, construction related surveying, maintain surface control points, topographical surveying, and maintaining survey/engineering equipment in good order. The training will also include assisting with bonus and month end calculations, maintaining electronic drawing file system, maintaining all electronic files related to surveying, layout preparation as required, ventilation work including weekly/monthly surveys and report preparation.

The successful applicant will have 4 to 5 years’ experience in underground operation performing ventilation and or surveying tech duties.
