Salary: up to $98,718.78 annually
There are two positions available, one in Kamloops and one in Victoria.

The role of the Ministry of Energy and Mines’, Mines and Mineral Resources Division is to stimulate the growth of the mining industry by advancing globally competitive polices and geoscience and ensuring safe and environmentally responsible mineral exploration and mine development and production.
Operating in an increasingly dynamic and socially sensitive environment, and as part of the provincial management team, the Regional Manager develops and brings a regional perspective to policies, programs, and long range and strategic planning to ensure a socially, economically and environmentally sustainable mining industry in British Columbia.
As the Regional Director, you will be responsible for promotion and regulation of the mineral resource industry, within one of five geographic regions in the province. You will provide leadership and services to support increasing and growing exploration and development programs within the industry and coordinate, develop, administer and manage Ministry programs for delivering economic development, inspection, geological, reclamation, and permitting services. If you have considerable knowledge of applicable legislation, Ministry structure, goals, issues and activities, as well as intimate knowledge of the mining industry and in particular challenges surrounding mine permitting and you have the strong ability to make decisions on complex managerial or technical problems, we would love to hear from you.
