Located in Nova Scotia, all within 25 km of Halifax, in rural area. Good access to all.

Description

-Mt. Uniacke Historic Mine: 14 shafts on 134 gold bearing veins. Average grade of 0.7 oz/t, with areas over 1 oz/t.
One km strike length, all historic mining above 122 metres depth.
-South Uniacke Historic Gold Mine: reports that production from 1889-1895 was 788 tons from which 7035 ounces were recovered…an average grade of 8.9 oz/t. Production from 2 narrow quartz veins.
-Renfrew Historic Gold Mine: Mining operations in the Renfrew Gold District resulted in a total reported
production of 51,985.9 oz of gold from milling of 66,567 tons of ore. The resultant grade was 22.1 g (0.78 oz) per ton. The most productive years in the history of the district were 1900, with 4,427 oz from 434 tons of ore; and 1901, with 3,584 oz from 856 tons of ore. Numerous Au-bearing quartz veins 13-120 cm width.
-West Gore Historic Gold-Antimony Mine: Historic Gold Production Reported: 6,995 oz from 4,959 tons. Mineralized veins exploited in the past are found along three fissure/fault zones which strike NW. The stibnite-gold mineralization is confined to the main shear zones. Significant surface stockpiles. Note: these claims cover only the northern half of this deposit.
East Rawdon Historic Gold Mine: Total production from the Rawdon Gold Mine for the period from 1884 to
1932 was 13,494oz from 14,788 tons of ore (0.91 oz/t or 31.3 g/T). On the No.1 Lead twelve shafts with a total depth of 890m were sunk over a distance of 609 m, the deepest being 155 m. Average depth of workings is just 70 metres.
Central Rawdon Historic Mine: 9,820 ounces of gold were reported to have been separated from 13, 323 tons
of crushed rock from all 3 areas, ending in 1924.
Ardoise Showing(s): Gold found in bedding parallel quartz veins and disseminated in host rocks.

Geology

Deposits are hosted in typical domal structures on anticlinal structures in Meguma greywacke and argillite units.
Most gold is associated with bedding parallel quartz veins, but some occur in cross cutting "fissure" type quartz bearing shear zones.

History

Most production from these properties occurred in the late 1800's and early 1900's, times of inefficient mining methods that required grades over 1/2 oz/ton. All of these properties have high tonnage, low grade mining potential.
