Hard Rock Mine located in the Cracker Creek Mining District north of Sumpter Oregon. This is one of the richest hard rock mining areas in the region. The Climax is located directly adjacent to the famous Columbia Lode, where a record amount of gold was extracted back in the day. The mine is accessed by a gravel forest service road that leads right up to the property. The mine is fully permitted and MSHA approved as an open pit mine. New road up into the mine was built in 2010, with landing, and Iron security gate. Extensive Development work has been done, with some $750,000 spent on removal of overburden and host rock. The hill is benched for safer access to lucrative veins. Multiple Exposed veins with hundreds of assays performed. There is a 9 foot to 14 foot wide vein ready to go tunneling. This is a dry mine, free milling Ore, with no mercury present. Assay’s run from 0.01 to 4.0 oz +/- of Gold per ton, with some tests even higher. The Silver numbers have also been double of the Gold numbers, for another revenue source. There is approximately 525 tons of 0.42 oz Gold/ton material on the ground ready to send to the processor, and another approximately 1850 ton blocked out and ready to extract. This material could be ready to truck off in under a weeks time. Experience has shown that as you go deeper for additional material, the volume of gold, silver, and other PGM’s goes up. The site allows for plenty more material to be extracted by chasing the veins and going underground.

The Climax Mine is located in the Blue Mountains of Eastern Oregon. There is much already written about the geology of this area. At the Climax Mine there is at least one contact between the igneous rocks of the batholith and argillite.
The values are carried in the argillite hanging wall at the contact with the granite rock footwall. There is little evidence of quartz in the gangue, however the argillite is highly altered to a near crumbling gangue rock showing a gray/tan vuggy mass where the material is mineralized. The main vein appears to run Northeast to Southwest, typical of the mineralized structures in the area. This is a dry mine, free milling Ore, with no mercury present. Assay’s run from 0.01 to 4.0 oz +/- of Gold per ton, with some tests even higher.

The previous owner trucked off material to a refiner and was quite successful. The new owner has spent some $750,000 in development costs to get the mine fully MSHA approved, the face benched for safety, allowing full access to multiple vein structures, measuring between 9 to 14 feet in width.
