Summary

Historic hydraulic, exploration and place mining operations from the past, as well as tailing piles from mechanical mining exist. As well as roads and trails that are accessible to vehicle travel. High bench opportunities are present and current miners are focused in these areas.
Type of vegetation: The valley floors are forested with lodge-pole pine, black spruce, aspen, scrub birch and
willow. Mountain alder grows locally near streams. Some vegetation has been removed by previous placer mining where exploration activities are proposed.
Physiography: McKee Creek flows West into the east side of Atlin Lake about 15 kilometres South of Atlin. The creek is about 10 kilometres in length flowing west. Work activities are proposed about 2 km above Atlin Lake. Elevations are between 800 – 950 m

Location and Access

30 minutes south of the town of Atlin B.C. Canada. Northwest corner of B.C. Largest lake in B.C. Exceptional scenery. Airport for small planes.
From Atlin travel east on the Surprise Lake Rd. and turn right onto the Warm Bay Rd. Travel (15) fifteen kilometers on the Warm Bay Rd. where you will approach the McKee Creek bridge, just before the bridge turn left on an exploration road and travel upstream approximately (600) six hundred meters.
