Historic hydraulic, exploration and place mining operations from the past, as well as tailing piles from mechanical mining exist. As well as roads and trails that are accessible to vehicle travel. High bench opportunities are present and current miners are focused in these areas. Type of vegetation: The valley floors are forested with lodge-pole pine, black spruce, aspen, scrub birch and willow. Mountain alder grows locally near streams. Some vegetation has been removed by previous placer mining where exploration activities are proposed. Physiography: McKee Creek flows West into the east side of Atlin Lake about 15 kilometres South of Atlin. The creek is about 10 kilometres in length flowing west. Work activities are proposed about 2 km above Atlin Lake. Elevations are between 800 – 950 m
