Summary

Miners Queen: Mineralization zone defined by the U.S. Bureau of Mines measuring 225 feet long by 125 feet wide, open at depth. Previous investigations identified high-grade breccia mineralization including 41 feet grading 1.31% copper and select samples returning up to 14.30% copper. The project represents a high-level porphyry copper-molybdenum system with significant vertical continuity. Extensive drilling by Amoco Minerals in the 1970s confirmed the system's potential. Traces to .02 oz/ton gold has been found as well. More gold focused exploration could uncover more mineralization. Commerce Mayflower: Exploration has indicated silver values of 5 to 6 oz/ton for veins containing as much as 3 percent copper. The project features numerous native copper veinlets exposed in open cuts along a significant fault structure. Previous exploration in the district was conducted by major companies including the minerals division of Exxon. Wells Copper Cobalt: Malachite and other copper minerals are present in sheared and folded meta-siltite, indicating a structurally controlled mineralization event. This upper zone, combined with the lower adit area, presents multiple exploration targets within the project area. Sampling returned 0.32 oz/ton gold, 1.9 oz/ton silver, 0.47% cobalt, 0.19% nickel.

Geology

Miners Queen: The project targets a mineralized hydrothermal breccia pipe located within the Silver Star Granodiorite stock. The breccia structure is sub-vertical, irregular to oval-shaped in plan, and characterized by angular rock fragments cemented by a matrix of quartz, tourmaline, and sulfides. The pipe exhibits sharp, discordant contacts with the host rock and is surrounded by a halo of intense tourmaline and quartz alteration.
Metals contained within the breccia matrix include copper, molybdenum, gold, and silver; the gangue consists of quartz, tourmaline, actinolite, and biotite. Ore minerals identifiable in hand specimen are: chalcopyrite, bornite, magnetite, pyrrhotite, pyrite, and molybdenite.
In addition to the main Miners Queen pipe, the surrounding area contains numerous mineralized zones and smaller breccia pipes. Sampling has indicated that copper and molybdenum concentrations are spatially coincident with the breccia pipes, grading outward to zinc and lead at the periphery. Recent geological models suggest these mineralized breccia pipes likely overlie a larger, concealed porphyry copper system.

Wells Copper Cobalt: Situated in a geologically complex area characterized by metamorphosed sedimentary rocks intruded by igneous bodies. The primary host rock is meta-siltite, part of the Banded Siltite Unit of the Apple Creek Formation, which has been subjected to varying degrees of alteration and deformation.
At the lower adit area, strongly bleached and altered meta-siltite is in close proximity to a previously undocumented intrusive body, tentatively identified as leucogabbro. This intrusive outcrops extensively 200-300 feet above the old adit and may play a significant role in the mineralization process. Magnetic susceptibility readings of the leucogabbro (40.4) are notably higher than the surrounding meta-siltite (0.33-4.25). The lower adit area, while currently caved and inaccessible, shows promising signs of mineralization. The strongly bleached and altered meta-siltite near the adit portal indicates hydrothermal activity. Although significant vein material was not observed on the adit dump, the proximity of the leucogabbro intrusive and color anomalies in altered sediments to the east suggest a favorable environment for mineral deposition.

The upper prospect, located in the northern part of the Wells 2 claim, presents more visible signs of copper mineralization. Malachite and other copper minerals are present in sheared and folded meta-siltite, indicating a structurally controlled mineralization event. This upper zone, combined with the lower adit area, presents multiple exploration targets within the project area.

Commerce Mayflower: The project targets veinlets and fracture fillings along the late-Tertiary Commerce fault, which strikes N. 55°-60° W. and dips 75° W. The Commerce fault is part of the extensive East Camp fault system which can be traced for approximately 18 miles to the southeast. The host rock consists of fractured and faulted dacite of Oligocene age.
Ore minerals identified in the veinlets include native copper, chalcopyrite, chalcocite, acanthite, and chrysocolla. During the 1978-1980 study period, an open cut along the fault revealed numerous native copper veinlets. Sampling of this system also found silver values of 5 to 6 oz/ton associated with 3% copper. Assays reported by Briggs (1982) range from 0-0.01 oz/ton (0.3 ppm) Au, 0-8.3 oz/ton (34 ppm) Ag, 0.17-15.4% Cu.

History

Miners Queen: Originally staked in the 1890s, the Miners Queen property was developed through a series of shafts and adits. In 1952, a high-grade shipment of 11 tons of ore averaging 3.4% copper was sent to the Tacoma smelter.
In 1955, the U.S. Bureau of Mines initiated an exploration program to evaluate the property. Work included dewatering two 35-foot shafts, mapping underground workings, and completing five diamond drill holes totaling 628 feet. This drilling intersected significant mineralization, including intercepts of 81.8 feet grading 0.72% copper and 36.4 feet grading 0.65% copper.
From 1974 to 1978, Amoco Minerals Co. conducted an intensive investigation of the property. Amoco staked approximately 5.5 square miles of claims and undertook comprehensive geophysical, geochemical, and geological surveys. Several thousand feet of core holes were drilled to evaluate the larger porphyry potential. These efforts confirmed that the breccia pipe contains high-grade shoots, with channel sampling returning values such as 29 feet at 0.94% copper and 12 feet at 0.70% copper, advancing the understanding of the deep-seated mineral potential.
Traces to 0.02 oz/ton gold have been found in the breccia zone as well. Significant copper-gold bearing deposits occur in this area and with further focus on gold exploration the Miners Queen could expand into a valuable copper-gold project.

Wells Copper Cobalt: Not much is known about the history of this location although it is in a prolific mining area. The USGS conducted an examination in the 1950s and reported values of 0.32 oz/ton gold, 1.9 oz/ton silver, 0.47% cobalt, 0.19% nickel.

Commerce Mayflower:
The Twin Peaks-Mayflower subdistrict has seen exploration interest from major entities. In the 1970s, the mines in this area were extensively prospected by Fraser-Martin Mines Inc. and by the minerals division of Exxon. The Commerce-Mayflower prospects were developed via numerous shallow shafts and surface workings.
During a study conducted between 1978 and 1980, the prospects were reopened, exposing the high-grade copper and silver mineralization. While specific historical production figures for the individual Commerce mine are grouped with the subdistrict, the Commerce-Mayflower group is noted to have produced copper, gold, and silver.
