Dr. Jon Hykawy is a veteran of Bay Street, having spent his time exclusively on the sell side. He is currently President of Stormcrow Capital, where he is broadly considered to be the globe’s leading rare earth and critical materials analyst. Originally trained as a physicist, Jon performed post-doctoral work at the Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories of AECL and with the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory. He completed his MBA at Queen’s University (Ontario, Canada) with an emphasis in marketing. Jon worked in the areas of critical materials with Byron Capital Markets in Toronto from 2009 to 2013 and his technical background includes work on rechargeable batteries, fuel cells and both wind and solar power.
Glenn A. Friendt is a serial entrepreneur who is currently Principal at Summit Consulting, a firm focused on early and expansion stage companies. He recently led the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship at the College of Business Administration at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Glenn’s vast business experience includes building a dental software business from early-stage to the third largest in the United States, when it was then acquired by PracticeWorks. He led PracticeWorks’ international division which, under his leadership, saw revenue increase 600% and EBITDA 1200% prior to being acquired by Eastman Kodak. Glenn was Founding Partner and President of Miller, Friendt, Ludemann, which became Nebraska’s largest marketing agency. Glenn was a charter member of the Nebraska Angels and graduated from the University of Nebraska.
