Located in Ukraine. Field of mine "Almaz" is located in the Shakhtarsk district of the Donetsk region, Chistyakov-Snezhnoye geological and industrial district, which is located within the boundaries of the mine field of the mine "Ternopil", exactly, on its west wing and occupy the area of 400 hectares.

Coal-mining enterprise “Almaz” LLC was registered in November 6, 2003. In order to maintain the production of coal the mining company has got up all necessary licensing permits:

• Special permit for subsoil use number 3468 issued on 18.10.2004, the reissued on 29.11.2011.
• Mining lease act number 1132 issued on 03.10.2005 - validity 9 years.
• Authorization to hazardous work N 3497.07.30-10.10.1.
• Authorization to hazardous work (blasting in mining area "Almaz») N 3581.10.30-10.10.1.
• The lease of land for construction of the industrial area of the mine "Almaz".

Mine is exploiting coal seam K7 "the Knyahininskyi". As of 01.12.2012 the backlog is 2 million 488 thousand tons, including the balance backlog of 1 million 60 thousand tons. Coal seam is not inclined to spontaneous combustion, it`s not dangerous as for explosiveness of coal dust and rock bursts (conclusion MakNII number 12/3945 issued on 16.05.2011). Coal seam K7 has a complex structure and composed of 2 and 3 packs of coal band , separated by sandstone and carbonaceous shale, with a capacity of 0.02-0.05 m. The total capacity of the coal seam is 0.7-0.85 m. The angle of seam and country is 20-21 °. Ash content of coal in the seam packs is 20-22%, sulfur content is 1.3-1.4%, volatile - 8-9%, moisture - 4-6%, Qmin – 5700 kcal. The main seam roof is a sandstone with capacity of up to 20 m. The soil layer of the seam is sandy shale with capacity 0.4-6 m. The main coal seam is divided by argillo-arenaceous shale with 0,095-0,15 m thickness. Mine field is opened by the two center-doubled mine shafts - the primary and subsidiary has the length of 260 meters each. In addition, the eastern vent airway has the length of 140 m - for airing of the east wing of the mine. Trunks are completed with section of 11.5 m2, fixed by metal-arched timbering and concrete airway has a cross section 6.0 m2. The system of preparation of a mine field is leveled , the system of development is solid. The existing mine working of the first horizon has 96 m depth:

• 1st East drift with the 90 meters length , is equipped with a scraper conveyor SK-38, the excavation of coal is performed by jackhammers, the mine roof has completely collapsed.
• 1st West drift with 80 meters length , is equipped with a scraper conveyor Sk-38, the excavation of coal is performed by mining machine "Ural" and jackhammers, the roof is equipped with rubblework and it`s partially collapsed.

The power supply to the mine is carried out by the two cable entries with of 6000 volts . The putting out of coal and rock is performed by cargo winches LW-25 in trolleys VG-1, 6, with a 600 mm track . A modern two-storeyed administrative complex is built in the mine area. As of December 1, 2012 97 miners , engineers and technicians worked at the mine. In case of adequate funding to modernize the company, to increase the number of workers up to 150 persons, the mine may produce 200-220 tons per day and achieve the annual production of 72-75 thousand tons. In order to achieve this level of mining, a new horizon should be prepared, Western ventilation airway and new refining combine should be installed.
