Located in British Columbia, Canada. The Silver King is located 19 kilometres (11.8 miles) by a log haul road, south west of Nelson BC, Canada, at an elevation of 5,900 feet (1,800 metres).

In the 1890’s the mine was developed and a smelter was built in Nelson to process the direct shipping ore. Operations ceased in the WW I era. Approximately 200,000 tons ore were processed at a grade of 680 g/ton silver and 3.4% copper.

Exploration in the 1960’s, both surface drilling and U/G mapping, discovered a new silver vein, blocked out reserves and led to a production recommendation (never implemented).

Drilling and mapping done in 1983 resulted in further calculations of underground and dump reserves .

In 1998 an IP and geochemical anomaly was detected along the southern portion of the property (the South Anomaly). Sultan Minerals Ltd. mapped, trenched and conducted a short drilling program on the property in the period 2002 to 2006. In 2008 Dr. H. Mumin, P. Eng. mapped and sampled the property. In 2009 Excalibur drilled 25 holes under Mumin’s direction but gave up the option to pursue Mexican interests. Results included many significant vein intercepts and discovery of a new mineralized vein. See the L. Dandy’s report for details.

Non NI 43-101 compliant reserve calculations from the 1960’s and 1980’s range from 111,000 to 118,000 tones grading between 9.1 oz/ton Ag and 9.9 oz/ton Ag and between 1.7% Cu and 2% Cu.

In the fall of 2012 the Cariboo gold zone, on the south boundary was drilled. The nearby Kena gold deposit, which has a NI 43-101 gold reserve, was also drilled.
