Summary
The Company owns the coal rights to 19,300 acres (of which approximately 18,572 acres is mineable) of undeveloped land in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. In recent years, the Owners drilled 8,704 acres of its existing land package and identified approximately 68 million tons of Proven & Probable reserves
The Company also controls a significant portion of land that has yet to be explored – approximately 9,900 acres. This additional acreage is located on both the Upper Freeport (4,868 acres) and Upper Kittanning (5,000 acres) Seams. Engineering estimates report this unexplored land area could add an additional 80 million tons to its existing reserve base.
Based on coal core sampling taken from the Company had average BTU/lb values expressed on an “As received”, “Dry” and “Washed” basis of 12,513, 12,887 and 14,567, respectively. The mines are fully permitted and the mine has just begun operation. Here is the analysis from original coal samples but the most recent actual production run analysis is attached.
