Location and Access
Located in the Battle Mountain Mining District, Nevada, USA. Decent 2 wheel drive, high clearing vehicle access to the Claim. A short drive to Lida Nevada which is now a Ghost town with the exception of one or two residence,
Description
Here you have a 20 Acre Lode Claim that includes usable building, and a mine that is suppose to run from 220 ft to 387 ft, but we make no claims as we have found conflicting reports.
The entrance is covered with boards and rocks , but could be reopened with a little work. The building is in very good condition. The area is a piece of mining history and one just has to look at the pictures and see the potential for this Claim.
There is an abundance of opportunity here to work, either underground and/or the Tailings. This is off the grid, but has a accessible road that a 2wd vehicle can handle without issue when I was there. This is also a great area if you like the outdoors, with many trials to hike/ATV and explore the Canyons.
The area had lots of Mining activities for Silver and Gold and had two steam powered stamp mills to process the Ore, from the local mines, but a lot was shipped out to Austin to process because the local Mills could not handle it. Most of the mining took place from the mid 1800's to the early 1900's. If you research online there is much about the history of the Town of Lida which is not far away.
Lida is a a ghost town and has a couple of people that I believe live there, but it is on private property, but enjoys a rich history. The town of Goldfield is about a 1/2 hours drive and enjoys a rich history of Gold Mining, along with sharing history with some of our most famous characters like Wyatt and Virgil Earp. Virgil was shot and killed in Goldfield, so if you are there, you can enjoy some history while you work your claim.
