Global Leaders Gather in Toronto to Discuss Economic Development in Uncertain Times

Final Program for 10th Annual Toronto Global Forum Includes IMF’s Christine Lagarde

TORONTO, ON–(Marketwired – September 07, 2016) – International business and political leaders, including International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde, will meet in Toronto next Monday to discuss development opportunities in an era of economic, social and political evolution.

The International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) has released the final program for the 10th anniversary of the Toronto Global Forum, taking place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel from September 12th to 14th.

Titled “Leading in Uncertain Times” the forum will address a broad range of international issues including economic growth, disruptive technologies, infrastructure development, geopolitics, the new world energy map, changing global trade routes, and the new era of manufacturing.

The Toronto Global Forum, presented by Cogeco Peer 1, will bring together more than 130 speakers and 2,600 delegates representing more than 40 countries. Participants will discuss how to better respond to today’s most pressing economic issues.

Attendees will include leading figures from the business world, heads of state, and numerous representatives of the federal and provincial governments, international organizations, and civil society.
