GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will be able to safely and effectively measure, prime, load, stem and tie in blast holes. Also must ensure drill area is properly cleaned before drilling and maintain an awareness of what is happening in work area – other traffic, machinery and plant, individuals; perform other duties as assigned.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Previous Surface Blasting experience preferred
• Meet Federal and State eligibility requirements on handling explosives required
• Valid Nevada drivers’ license required
• Explosive handling experience, especially in a mining environment preferred
• Heavy equipment operating experience preferred
• Ability to carry at least 50 pounds required
• Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team required
• Satisfactory safety, performance, and attendance records required
